With Cherry, you can easily make instant money transfers to recipients in Africa around the world. This includes transfer options to local bank accounts, Mobile Money wallets, Barter accounts, as well as cash pick-up locations.

We currently support money transfer from the following countries: US & Canada.

You can make payment for your transfers using your debit cards, credit cards, bank transfer or Apple/Google Pay. Once payment is confirmed, the transaction is processed instantly.

Your recipient can receive money on Cherry via any of the following delivery methods.

The exchange rate used for all transactions is determined on a daily basis and is based on prevailing market rates for the day. We display daily rates whenever you attempt a transaction so you always know how much your recipient will receive.

We charge a flat fee of $2 per transaction.

Your recipient can physically collect cash from a designated pick-up location nationwide. To send money via USD cash pickup, you will need to provide the recipient's phone number and full name as it appears on your recipient's Valid ID. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email notification including the transaction details and pick-up instructions. If your recipient encounters any issue with picking up the cash, please contact us immediately.

Mobile Money wallet is an electronic wallet that allows you to store, send and receive money with your mobile number. Cherry allows you to send money instantly to mobile money wallets in Ghana, Kenya, Zambia and Ethiopia.

Transfers are delivered directly to the recipient’s bank account. If you're sending money to your recipient's bank account, ensure that you enter the correct bank details to avoid delays. If you have made a mistake, please contact us immediately.

Barter is an app that lets you store, send and receive money instantly and safely. If your recipient has a Barter account, you can send money directly to their Barter account.
